Grand inauguration to blogging

Hello! My name is Rosie. I’m 25 years old, I live in Dorset with my partner, Sam, and our cat, Ian. I work with children, I love make up, I’ll never say no to a cocktail, and my Mum (Sue) died in 2018 after an 18 month stretch of cancer.

I’ve decided to start a blog mainly as a personal journal to express my feelings, emotions, and actions that are associated with grief. I’m planning to write about my story, my Mum (obviously), her journey with cancer, her death, and the trials of grief thereafter. I hope to appeal to – and maybe even connect with – other young people who have unfortunately been bereaved, as there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot of available support for our kind. I hope to eventually – could be next month, could be 2036 – have connected with a network of young bereaved people, and make new friends over our “shared interest” (lol).

If you’re reading this, thank you! However this is mainly, at the moment, for me to vent and moan about being sad that my Mum’s died. I’m not expecting a mega following, but if it reaches you and provokes a response, then that’s great. I really hope you enjoy it.

My posts will probably be sporadic at first, with no defined pattern of what and when I post. All that being said; thanks for reading, and I hope to see you again soon!
